So this week the lovely Sharla Hicks, CZT, has offered us a wonderful challenge she has named "The Undulating Tangles in C and S Minor" (for full blog post you can go here).
While I was reading the post I caught the words "series" so I was off and running with that and decided to do two tiles...
The 1st is a revisit of one I did a while back that I inadvertently did backwards... but there are no mistakes in zentangle, right?? This pattern is phicops spiralation and is done on a grey background...
the 2nd tile makes use of the tangle Tri-Roda which reminds me of pepper, a tangle that I really like which is why I chose it when I saw it... (the centers of the tri-roda were colored in silver which is why they may look a little odd at first glance...)
Lovely pieces. I've always liked Phicops, and Tri-roda is new to me. It's quite simple and pretty.
ReplyDeleteBoth tiles are so different and so beautiful! I love the grey background you used.
ReplyDeleteBoth are very lovely and your linework is immaculate!
ReplyDeleteBoth of them are very lovely and your used tangles that I like a lot.
ReplyDeleteNice! Your Phicops is lovely. I always shy away from Phicops because I find it difficult. After seeing your, I need to try harder.
ReplyDeleteGreat! Love your phicops so much!
ReplyDeleteI really liked your Phicops - such a graceful spiral!
ReplyDeleteOoooo I do like these. That Phicops spiral is fabulous.(Envious sigh)
ReplyDeleteYour Phicops is amazing! Like something from a naturalist journal. Love your Tri-roda. My unsuccessful attempt at ir makes me admire your lovely version all the more! Nice!
ReplyDeleteBoth are lovely! Especially I like your excellent Phicops!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Both simple yet expressive. Beautifully done.
ReplyDeletebeautiful work, your phicops is awesome
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tiles :)
ReplyDeleteBoth tiles are lovely. I love Phicops (I have tried sometimes but without success so far..:-() this inspires me to try it again. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful! I've not tried the tri-roda so will definitely add it to my list!
ReplyDeleteBoth tiles look wonderful. I love Phicops too, but lately when I have been trying it, it hasn't been playing well with my pen (my fingers giving me fits...lol). The Tri-roda is beautifully done. I've been working on it, but still not proficient enough with it to actually try a tile yet. Yours is very well done. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for all of your kind words regarding this week's challenge. Yet again, I cannot tell you how much they mean to me.
